With the end of the school year upon us, and a successful competition behind us, we are now planning for our 22nd annual Onalaska Show Choir Classic and Concert Choir Competition to be held on Friday, January 9th and Saturday, January 10th, 2009. We saw many premier show choirs and concert choirs this past competition season and we are excited about the 2009 competition.

As always, we offer:

Outstanding judges who will give valuable critiques, verbal and written.
Immediate feedback from one of our clinicians.
Concert Choir Competition in the beautiful venue of First Lutheran Church.
Non-competitive critiqued exhibition middle school performances Friday night in the field house.
User-friendly venue, with a set stage, convenient prop storage, full warm-up stage, and comfortable homerooms.
Large, enthusiastic audience and choirs from all over the Midwest.
Participation plaques for all performing groups.

What could be more fun in the middle of January? As you are finalizing your calendars for this year, we hope you will consider joining us.

Parents of Juniors - the Classic committee needs you to volunteer as "Shadows": The Classic is an annual tradition. To keep the tradition moving ahead smoothly, each year "shadows" are added to the Classic committee. The committee is made up of parents that are involved in organizing and managing key parts the the Classic event. The committee shadows assist the committe while learning about the role a spefic committe person is resposible for. The shadows then become the committee for the next year and are well prepared for the job. Shadows should be parents of juniors on the Hilltopper choir, as they will be still be involved the following year. If you want to learn more, please contact Mark or Roxy Schilling, or any member of the Classic committe or board.
